TRADE KINGS WORKING WITH SMALL SCALE FARMERS

Trade Kings group has
been working with smallholder farmers in order to meet the demand for its raw
materials.
Speaking at the Zambia
International Trade Fair group head of corporate affairs Bridget Kambobe said
the group has for a long time depended on farmers for raw materials.
She said the group has
a processing capacity of 200,000 litres of milk hence engaging with farmers.
"As Trade Kings
we have been engaging with small-scale farmers to get raw materials as long as
they meet demand.
"We depend on
small-scale farmers for our milk production facility which currently has a
capacity of 200,000 litres of milk and to meet this demand it means partnering
farmers.
"Not only do we
empower farmers where we source our milk, we go a mile further to provide
technical support to farmers, farming has been key for us because we are into
food processing
"in the 29 years
we have been in existence, we have had influence on society, government and the
entertainment industry in the way business is done.
She further said the group
has impacted the economy by creating 12 000 jobs in it's seven companies across
the group.
