POLICE UNEARTH A FERTILIZER SCAM, NINE PEOPLE ARRESTED

The Zambia Compulsory Standard Agency in conjunction with the Zambia police have unearthed a fertilizer scam.
The scam involves a company called RUSOM investment based in Lusakas Barlastone which has been manufacturing fake fertilizer.
This came to light after an agro dealer Standford Mweemba sold the counterfeit fertilizer to some farmers who discovered that it was fake.
Mr Mweemba reported the matter to the police.
Nine people which includes two directors of the company have since been arrested.
The company has also been operating in Chongwe,Lundazi and Nyimba districts.
